I can't decide on what to go with, I've been happy w/ flowmaster but I had a baffel go bad on the driver side so it makes a small rattle @35000.
I was thinking about magnaflow. Any suggestions would be great.

i wouldnt replace that mid pipe until you get headers, that is if you are planning on getting headers of course. remember that the mid pipes are different sizes depending on if you have shorty or lts. and im thinking with what u have listed under your mods that, the midpipe that you have now will not work with longtubes and i would consider LONGTUBES!!!!! that would give u a lot more flow and help out your flow for mods to come

Headers;

That's why I said I don't know how long it will be on there, I can't find the headers I'm looking for, they might not even make them for the new mod.

Does any one remember the old twisted wedge shorties?

are there any headers that make decent gains that would fit the stock midpipe or in my case a catted prochamber? This ones on the to do list, but It'd be nice to know

If I were you I would just replace the muffler but,the Magnaflow catback
is something to think about! I think the Magnaflow kit is nice also!

Not really...but if you have the ca$h for a nice set of LTs and to have them installed, a short, O/R midpipe is cheap! The midpipe is the least of the expenses when thinking of long tubes.
For my 02 GT with stock exhaust manifolds, I've finally decided on the SLP catted X, which is modular - it can be fitted to their LTs. The cats can also be replaced with their race tubes for 'off-road' use .
It stainless steel and $400 from MustangTuning.
Back to the original question - which catback? I love Flows, alot of people love MagnaFlow, SLP makes a killer setup too.
Head over to www.mustangexhaust.com for some sound clips...

I would go with the magnaflows. I have stock manifolds and h-pipe, with the magnaflow cat-back. As of now it is slightly louder than stock, and still keeps the same mellow tone similar to the stock cat-back. Also, the magnaflow is all stainless!! The american thunder was 300 and i got my magnaflow for only 400. Not to mention, once you get a new less restrictive x or h, and headers, the sound level will more than double. Don't get me wrong, flowmasters sound soo mean, but I do about half highway/half city driving, and i don't get any drone. When you step on the gas, it surely sounds powerful, but like most, who wants drone. Might as well have 4 12's in trunk to get around that flowmaster sound!!!

Cat Back'

I've heard that the mac's cat back is'nt all too good(rusting problems) allthough I havent had any problems w/ my mid.
Yesterday I heard a Magnaflow cat back w/ a mac x mid, and its the only one I've liked more than others.

Ford Racing Shortie Headers might fit the stock mid pipe. As for the cat back question, Bassani Cat-back.

I just had my (Magnaflow) Magnapacks put on last weekend. I love them. The sound is great and no drone. They're not loud at idle but when you accelerate they really wake up. I bought them from here. Don't forget to use the $130 off coupon from here if you end up getting them. And free shipping!
