reuse both stock studs and gaskets, as long as you dont f up the gaskets pulling the old headers.

also...JBA shorties suck, you will maybe see a 3 hp increase and in a few years, they will probably crack. save your money or buy longtubes.

jmo, if you want to do it right buy oem gaskets and stage 8 locking header bolts.

if you want to redo it a few weeks later, reuse the stock gaskets and bolts. fwiw, the stock manifold studs are torque to yield meaning if they back out when you are removing the nuts, ( a few of mine did )you'll need new studs. Of course it sure is a PITA to remove the studs with the 5 mm socket! broke 2 5mm sockets doing it.

is the problem that big with the jba's cracking??? and i have see dyno numbers on them of 8 to 9 hp na. Long tubes are not an option, i already have an h pipe and i want to stay legal.

JBAs are worth more than 3rwhp. Its been a while, but I have seen dynos on here or other boards supporting claims between 7-9hp. If you live in CA or elsewhere where the smog-Nazis rule, get the JBAs. In fact, I may be going with JBAs or the new BBK equal-length shorties to replace my Mac LTs.

Also, back on topic, reuse the OEM gaskets if they are in good shape. On Modular Depot, they have been using OEM Ford gaskets, Percys, and lately some have used Fel-Pro which recently released manifold gaskets for our cars. They are supposed to be pretty good and are only around $12/side I believe. I have Percy's on my car, but I have a set of Fel-Pros in the garage for the next time my Macs blow a gasket.
