Widest Tire on Stock Pony

What is the widest tire I can get on stock ponies on a 92 LX...I really just need to know if 255's will fit in the rear

I think the biggest you can go on a fox body is 275 and its close.

Sweet, thanks guys. I think I am going to go for 255/50/16 in the rear and leave the front stock. I need a set 1" wheel spacer adapters but do not know where to get them. Any ideas?

i got 245's on my pony's and they fit fine, look stock no big bulge on the sidewall etc.

Nitto dosent make a 255 drag radial, they make a 245 and it runs small and will fit without a problem. BFG and MT make a 255/50/16. Saw the MT's the other day off a wheel, they look kind of small.

I now have Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 in the rear with some Continentals up front (they were free). I think I am going to get either 1" or 1.25" wheel spacer adapters for the rear and get the Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 again but this time 255/50/16. I think they look pretty sweet with the tread pattern. Plus, they are pretty cheap. I do not do burn outs or drive like a mad man so I really do not need top of the line tires. They are listed as Ultra High Performance for the summer so I think they will be fine.

The Kumho Ecsta Supra 712 are AWESOME TIRES! I'v run them before they perform amazingly on wet and dry and I didn't even have a vibration with I was hitting almost 240k an hour! lol they are a little slippery when cold but once they warm up they grip like glue! I'm definetly buying them again! I had Michellin Pilot Sports before but they didn't last long and one blew a sidewall on me and almost destroyed my 17" Centerline Sabers!

I thought they were bad when it was wet out since they are Ultra High Performance for Summer. Whatever, works for me

well definetly better in dry but that tread pattern and grip bars in the middle really help out when you got alot of torque behind her in the rain
