Well the bolts that hold my altinator bracket had broken and I got 2 of the 3 out. The third on is damn near impossible to get out or drill since I broke an easy out in it. I was thinking about helicoiling the two that I did get out and putting grade 8 studs in there instead of bolts to make it alot stronger. Do you guys think it will hold? Im really trying to avoid taking the head off. Also is there any water passages those bolt holes are close to?

Thanks

yeah it will hold I have been running 2 for 2 years now and I have never had trouble out of it. Some people on here will say you need 3 but 2 is fine

why do you want to helicoil it? Try just running a tap through the threads first to make them clean and fresh, then run a bolt in there and see if it goes in smooth enough.
