I'm installing a edelbrock performer 5.0 intake this weekand, I also bought some aluminum Valve covers that are 3 1/2 tall. Does anyone know if these will fit?
Will 3 1/2 inch Valve Covers fit under a Performer 5.0 intake?

Probably not, to be honest with you. My Summit valve covers are 3 1/2" tall, and I had to run a 1" spacer on my Cobra intake manifold to accomodate them.
putting that 1 inch space in does affect anthing though, does it? and this spacer you guys are talking about is between the upper and lower intake right?

With a 3" Cobra R hood you'll have plenty of clearance with the 1" spacer. If you're running EGR and want to keep it then you'll have lenghten the tube from the header to the intake.
lengthening the tube will be no problem, The only place I can see to find a spacer is from trick flow 1inch for 60 bucks? anyone know of any others?

That's the one that I'm running. No complaints about it, and it honestly does seem to keep the upper intake cooler.
