Hello, trying to do a budget build of a 5.8 to replace my dead 5.0..It's going to be mated to a T5.Which flywheel is best, the 50 oz or 28?.. Thanks for any input/advice on this swap..Jason

No the 351 is wider and the 5.0 pan won't fit, you need to get the special swap pan made by FRPP. Its like 142 shipped off summit, or you can try your luck finding a used one, or be extremely lucky and find one in a junkyard, I beleive they are in vans? Not sure i'm sure someone can clarify that for you

Just saw the flywheel part.. you will need a 28 oz 157 tooth flywheel..

ebay has the correct flywheel, case billet steel and SFI approved for 100 bucks from a few dealers on there... as stated early(mid 80's) crown vics have the right oil pan, dipstick tube and pickup tube(dont forget the stud to mount the pickup tube).. i have a 351w pickup tube and used swap headers, PM me if you're interested

I bought mine brand new from Autozone for $69.99. I bought it for an 87 Crown Vic with a 351w.
