Will a bad MAF cause this???

On saturday i removed the Pro-M 75mm MAF from the car because it sold, well i put the stock one back in (Cleaned it before it was put in) and now my car surges at idle and dies at intersections...Damn my LMAF wont be in until the end of the month with the engine rebuild, is it the meter thats causing this???

Are you still running 19# injectors with your combo? If so, have you tried resetting the computer so it relearns its tables with the smaller MAF?

I would. It might not fix the problem but then again it might. I always disconnect the battery when I change a sensor, even though its not always necessary.

If that's the only thing you've changed, then that's a big fat YES. My bad sensor did a whole bunch of weird chit.

are you getting any codes? My car sounds like it does the same thing and I have a 157 code I think. Something about maf low voltage.

I get that code thrown at me also, but I don't really notice any problems.

No codes came up, i cleaned it again and it worked perfectly
