One of my freinds has a set of 351 windsor heads I want to put on my 95 w/ a 302. I have never even tried to reserch this before, but hopefully somebody has. Please let me know because these will be free, minus machining and a valve job.

302 heads have openings in them for the head bolts that are 3/8's (I believe) and the 351 heads have openings for 1/2" bolts. You can turn 302 heads into 351 by drilling out the hole to 1/2", but havent heard how you can make 351 heads into 302 heads.

Don't Performer heads come drilled for 351's but come with spacers to fit on 302's? You could order some of those to make them fit.

You either tap the block to accept the larger bolts, or you use sleeves in the heads to accept the smaller bolts. People do it all the time.

I pretty much figured there was a sleve for the bolts to change them from 1/2" to 3/8" but I just never needed to know that or bothered to do research
