Will an '87 rear axle fit a '94?

I plan to build up a 31 spline SN95 setup for my '94 and I'd like to use the housing from an '87. I know that the rear Fox drum setup is shorter than the SN95 disc setup. It is my understnanding that this difference is in the length of the axles, not the housing. Is there any difference in the housing itself that would prevent me from doing this swap like mounting points or brake line connectors?

The Housing IS the same, the width difference is in the axles and brake brackets.
