Thanks. So, then do all 94-95 Gt's have a 7000rpm rev-limiter? Or just some of them?

Sorry, I'm confused, again.

WOW! That's good info guys!

I have had many people simply not believe me that I shift my 95GT @ 6400+ with the stock EEC. I've been doing this Mustang stuff for a long time and was certian that I was correct because I use a Autometer shift light and I've dyno'd the car and seen more than 6250 on the dyno. Just nice to know that someone out there believes me!

I did a big nono once and when I glanced down the stock tach was damn near bottomed out.... my motor lived.... so if it's still running, you should be fine.

Okay, I'll admit my stupidity... I pulled up next to a 454SS truck (usually slow, but not always) and I had the juice ready. Problem is I had downshifted to second coming up to the light and didn't really notice.

When the light turned green he was all over it. I "gulp" sprayed it in second gear... couldn't figure out why my car was bogging so bad, noticed the problem... and didn't think. I manual shifted it to 1st!

Let's just say that was the first and last time my tires went up in smoke at that high of an rpm. It was bad, sounded terrible, and I limped to the side of the road. Cleaned out my shorts and let the car idle for a while. Sounded okay... been driving it and spraying ever since. These 302s are tough little suckers.

So there you go, you can screw up driving an Automagic car.
