Will I gain anything?

With the mods in my signature I am still running the stock maf and can pick a up a 76mm C&L maf for like $50 locally is it worth it? Will I see any gains? I got the car dynoed a few weeks back at 305tq and 225hp at the wheels and they said it was running pretty rich and had at least 25 more hp in it with a tune. I'm thinking the stock MAF may be holding it back. My future plans are tw heads and stage 1 cam opinions please.

What you'll gain is headaches.
C&L meters are unreliable crap.
I wouldn't use it if it was given to me for free.

As far as leaving 25hp on the table with a tune, not a chance. Cars without heads don't make 250rwhp.
Your numbers are right about where they should be. Certainly don't pay them to do a chip if that's the tune they are talking about, probably land up costing you $100 per hp.

If you want a new meter, which will help, get an old pro m or new PMAS.

do the pro m or pmas allow you to recalibrate from stock 19lb injectors to a larger injector without buying a new maf? If so how? I just liked the idea of changing sampling tubes on the C&L so i could run it with my stock injectors now and bigger ones when I do heads and cam without buying a whole new meter.

The interchangeable sampling tube is what causes all the problems.

With the PMAS or pro m you can do 2 things, A. Pay to have the meter recalibrated at $100, or B. Just sell it on ebay and buy the right one when you upgrade the heads, which will usually be a wash as far as money.

Please keep in mind, i say "old" pro m, the new one is not the same as the old.
PMAS is now the old pro m, essentially it's the same guys same equipment used to make them.

It takes quite a few intake mods to "peg" the OEM MAF sensor. Stick with it and spend your money elsewhere.

I'm my opinion, its not about maxing out the sensor, its about the 55mm hole that it has.

you can go pmas, or a cheaper alternative is to get an sn95 meter. you can get them for 50-70$ and they are factory 70mm meters calibrated for 19# injectors.

It's worth it.
I've seen it tested in person, it was worth .2 in the quarter.
That's with a pro m 75mm bullet.

Some people have luck with them, some don't. It's worth a try, if all else fails sell it.

The C&L is just a housing, you reuse your factory electronic unit.

+1 I have had c&l meters on a couple of cars with no issues. But thats just my experience.
