Will I have to cut my chrome tails off?

I just put the chrome tail pipes on my coupe. It rides on 245/50/16's right now. It doesn't rub but it probably will if the tires got any bigger. I'am going to put on a set of ET Streets 26x10.5x16. You think I would have to cut the tails off so they don't rub the tire? I sure hope not, I just put them on.

Do you have the exhaust as tight in as it can get? I wouldn't think you would have to get rid of them. I know my buddy on his 87 coupe didn't, but he was runnin a 28 inch tire on 15 inch rims!

Can't you remove your pipes after the mufflers or are they welded?

They are on hangers but they are welded to the pipes, I had to weld them. My friend was saying you can move them a little. I'am going to go home and take some measurements later on.
