will I loose power or torque...or will I move the power band higher or what....I am thinking of dumping my mufflers...I was just told that the western states have removed their sound requirements regulations and I wanna take off my mufflers...my car is mostly stock right now accept CAI and some flowmasters but I got a trickflow street heat manifold I am about ready to install (i hope)..but before I just go ahead and cut away my mufflers I wanna know if I will lose anything and if so how much??

You will lose torque and horse power if you remove the mufflers completely. You need some back pressure that's created by mufflers. Example what happend when you bend a water hose to a 90* angle? It forces the water out at a stronger rate. You didn't increase the water out put just created some back pressure. Apply that with your exhaust same concept.

the only way to move your powerband is to adjust either mechanical or ignition timing

I figured I would lose some power because of the very same concept of the hose and water....I was just wondering if anyone knew how much would be lost...

Just running open h-pipe feels very turdlike at lowspeed and not too great at higher speeds. If you want loud, get yourself an SLP catback.

Loud seems to get old after a while. I've grown out of it a lot sooner than I expected to.
