i ordered my intercooler today. the piping kit will be next week. i was wondering if my stock bosch bypass will still work? i have seen taht most people upgrade to the vortech mini race bypass with an intercooler. i am keeping my boost level @ 10psi. do i need the vortech or will the bosch unit still work?

you need to upgrade the bypass valve. with the intercooler, you'll have a larger volume of air between the supercharger and the throttle body that will need to be redirected when need be.

do i have any options rather than the vortech one? i dont want a POS that wont work like it should. but i'd like to find one for around $100, the vortech is $230

no pics. it will be here next week.

...currently I'm in the same situation as you....I've got an intercooler on order, and I plan on getting the pipes soon...but of course somebody had to ruin my rear bumper this week....so I gotta get that fixed before I continue modding

You will probably see around 8-9PSI....the IC will drop the pressure.

Good find though...$150 WOW.

I'm using one upgraded Bosch bpv, and a cheap copy of a greddy bpv/bov that uses the same flange as the Vortech mini so if I want I can upgrade later. I paid 35 for the greddy knock off and 45 for the upgraded bosch. I'm averaging 11 psi but I have seen as high almost 14 a couple times.

I have about 450 invested in my IC.
