Will low voltage from the alt make the CHECK ENGINE light come on?

I have noticed my check engine light is coming on sometimes, but my PMS is not throwing any codes. I have also noticed at idle that my lights on my gauges flicker a little. Would the check engine light come on if my alt was going bad?

Probably not. You can have the system checked out at a parts store.

If giving it a little gas helps, you can raise the idle slightly. Clean and check all connections too.
