Will New Edge axles work on our cars?

I found out that the axles on our cars are 29.969" and the one from the New Edge models are 30.688". Though I see the Foxes are 29.188", so the difference is less betewen the New Edge and SN-95 than the difference between the SN-95 and Foxes (and I know the Foxes can use our axles).

I'm asking because I can get a good deal on some Moser axles that are for a New Edge.

I don't think you'd be able to make the rear brakes work at the least. If the housing is the same, then you'd probably just need caliper brackets from a 99-04 along with the axles. If the housing is wider as well, then forget it.

Yeah after thinking about it that was my concern too. Does anyone know the diminsions of the 99-04's rear ends? It might be worth hunting down the brackets for the brakes if that is the case.

Oh and anyone know about how much it runs to have the axles cut down? Moser advertises that they will shorten your axles if you ever decide to narrow your rear end. That may be worth it too, dunno.

I'm pretty sure the axle tubes on the New Edge are longer than ours, not the brake brakets themselves. I bet you might even be able to find a used axle assembly out of a 99-04 for cheaper than it would cost to shorten the Moser ones, but for that total cost you would probably be better-off just getting moser shafts for the '94-'98 axle, unless your getting the NewEdge ones for next to nothing...
