Will the 6.8L v10 from a ford truck fit?

There was a Magazine article on this swap a few years back, MM&FF I think.
The article was dated within a year or 2 of when Ford started production on the v10.

If the v10 is about the same width as the 4.6 then it should go pretty easy fitment wise.

I think they had issues with the radiator due to the length of the v10?

This would be a challenging/fun project, but if you just want to hit 500hp there are easier and less expensive ways of doing it.

I am a big fan of the 351w swap myself.

take the road less traveled, its ok to be unique and have something different. In fat it would be a welcome addition instead of the usual 331-347 you see everyday.

i've got a 420 Windsor that makes 550 to the tires on motor and that's not even counting the bottle in the back.....

Hmmmmmmm. Sounds like my kinda thread here, Ive been there, done that stuff, small blocks didn't cut it for me unless they were boosted. My swap has been done for almost 2 summers now and i have ZERO problems.

Looking for a sub compact or a miata to stuff the 5.0 EFI into now

Will a 351 bolt to a t5 transmission? I can build a t5 to handle 800 tq

Ford did this swap themselves just to see if it could be done....and it was done with production in mind. They put one in an '02 GT and it passed emissions and all, made something north of 500hp. There are actually a lot of people that have done this....you don't see or hear about it because it's really not necessary. It's essentially a 5.4 with 2 more cylinders on the back. You could build a stroked 5.4 if you wanted a mod motor and make up what those extra 2 cylinders give you with some ported heads and cams, and you'd do it cheaper and lighter.

Heck if you have the money for this kind of swap....maybe you should look into a Man-o-War block based stroker....the 351 based block can be stroked clear up to 470ci, that's big block power+ in a small block engine, then put about 20lbs of turbo through it and get a really good streetable tune and drive around a 1000hp street car.

Yes
and
for a little while.

That power might tend to kill T5s
T56 is stronger isn't it?

I think I remember that. Wasn't it so nose heavy that 2 guys could lift the rear tires off the ground?
