Will these wheels fit an 04 GT?

Hey guys. For a long time, I've been trying to find wheels similar to the wheels run on current FRPP race cars. Anyway, I found these on Ebay and it's exactly what I am looking for. Their chart says it fits 05+ GTs, but it looks like they have more than enough back spacing for an 04. Anyway, can somebody who is good with wheel fitment take a look and tell me if these will fit on an 04 properly?
Thanks! :nice:

Yeah, they're very similar to the wheels on the FR500C Grand Am Mustangs. Kinda like FR500 wheels on steroids. I emailed the seller, he said they'd fit, but I'd still like some feedback on here. These are the first wheels that I've looked at and had no doubt I'd like them on my car.

I am sure they will fit as the 05+ bullits will fit our cars as well, they just dont look right due to the backspacing. I would check the total dimensions of that wheel and compare to ones made for the new edge. I think american muscle has the wheel dimensions posted for like 18" bullitts so you could compare them. good luck

Stock 17X8 Mustang Gt wheels from 94-04 have a +30mm offset front and rear.

Those have a +32mm offset up front and a +35mm offset in the rear.

30mm stock vs. 32mm wheels means the front wheels will sit inward inside the wheel well 2mm.

30mm stock vs. 35mm wheels means the rear wheels will sit inward toward the wheel well 5mm.

Totally tolerable.

Stock 05+ Mustang have a 45mm offset wheels front and rear, so if you bought stock ones, you must use spacers, because they will sit inward 15mm. They should clear the front strut, but 15mm is about 9/16" to 5/8". That looks really stupid with no spacers.

05+ wheels are more for fox body guys like myself with SN95 rear axles, or 2001 axle housing and shafts, and 96-04 front spindles.

Thanks man. Looks like I found my wheels.

I would still call the company. I know my stuff about wheels, but ask them about the backspacing and if it will fit an 04 GT and clear the calipers.

A guy I know bought Boyd wheels that said, Fit's all Mustangs 94-04. Well, he got them and they hit the front calipers. He had to grind the back of a 500 dollar a peice wheels.

I emailed them, the sent one back and all it said was "they will fit." Now, since he's trying to make money off me, I figured I'd ask here. I already tried running 05+ GT premium wheels on the car, so I know about the caliper clearance issues, and the fit wasn't too bad. If these have 13 mm more clearance than stock 05s, then I will be fine.

That is one of my pet peeves--when you take time and ask a detailed question and you get a three word response... :nono:

I think those might look sweet!

I'm hoping to order within the month. Anyway, I won't run spacers. Hubcentrics would push them out too far, and the washer style spacers are not safe and shouldn't even be on the market IMO. I think they'll look awesome on the car with a nice set of Goodyear F1 GS-D3s on 'em. My car is going to eventually have:
These wheels
01 Cobra nose with chin spoiler
CDC shaker system (with custom tubing directly to my roots blower) and all raised parts of the hood blacked out (like a wider version of the Mach 1 stripe)
Steeda side stripes
Steeda side exhaust
Razzi side skirts
V6 rear bumper
Steeda wing
rear windshield louvers
1/4 window louvers
03 Cobra mirrors.
CDC rear taillight blackout panel
lots of billet bits around the outside.
I'm going for a modern version of the old Boss 302 trans-am racers, as if they were being first made out of today's mustang. Modern feel, power, handling, amenities, old school B-F'N-A looks.
