I agree. Im rebuilding an a4ld right now and its mickey mouse, even for a 2.3L. The front planetary completely failed. Not a durable trans at all.

Totally different bolt pattern. Those transmissions can not last behind an 88HP 2.3L, let alone a 225+HP 5.0L!!!!!

now, if you had a c4 out of a mustang ii, and it was bolted up to your 2.3....you could swap the bellhousing, and if it was built, it would live behind a 5.0
