I have a New 331 Storker Boss Block CNC 205cc AFR Heads. Trick Flow Stage 3 Cam. BBK Racing Box Intake with the BBK fuel Rails and 42# injectors.

Apparently my ex-husband made that mistake.

No, that will be about 440 at the crank. Bigger cam, and you will get to 500. It would also help to go up to 347cid. I run a Trick Flow 3 cam with ported Canfield 192cc heads on a 347, and I'm getting about 425 at the crank.

I was going with the 331 because i want to run Twin Turbos and everybody i talk to has said that the 331 would be a beter bottom end for the twin turbos. I want to make at less 500hp at the crank on just motor. What cam do you thank would be the best for my motor?

The displacement is going to make little difference on how well it works with the turbos. The big thing is to keep the static compression down in the engine. The main difference between the 331, and the 347 is where you get your peak power. The 347 is going to make peak power about 200 rpms lower. The Trick flow cam would be out of the question with a twin turbo setup. That cam has too much overlap, and it's going to blow all the boost into the exhaust. If you're going to spend the money on two turbochargers, you really should spend the money on a custom grind cam.

If you make the engine to run good on motor, it's going to run like **** on boost. You have to build the engine to run well on the power adder you want to use. A 331 that is designed to run with a turbocharger will be lucky to make 300 hp on motor, because the ideal compression is 9:1 or less, and the cam has little overlap to keep the boost from blowing through the engine. If you build a 331 engine to make 500hp without a power adder, it's going to need a lot of static compression, say 11:1 to make up for the dynamic compression loss caused by the intake/exhaust operlap on the camshaft. And you need a big camshaft like that to pump enough air through the heads to make those kind of hp numbers.

I'm with Kurt on this. If your planning on turning it into a turbo car, do not spend all your money on a monster N/A engine. in the end you'll be replacing half the parts to make it an efficient turbo car.

x3 on the above comments.

Thats a nice $10,000 build. Hope you also plan to have car able to handle all that too so you're safe in it.

It's going to be a lot more than that. It's what, $2400 just for the block?
