I went to close my door today when I got into my car, window up, and somethingn was banging as I closed the door. I got out to look and close the door slowly and I see the top most portion of my window is hitting the side of the roof slightly and I don't know what has happened. It wasn't like that this morning when I closed it but the next time out it was...has the window been knocked off it's track?

This happened to me the other week. It's quite annoying and seemingly happened for no reason.

Haven't had the time to work on solving the problem yet. Hope you get an answer.

Had a similar experience w/ my f150. Take the door panel off and make sure the window is still on track. I had to re-silicone my window to the track.

Sounds like you have an S197 with a dead battery , anyway this is one thing that could have happened and trust me it can , did somebody hold on to roof panel to help themselfs out of you car , the plastic panel is held on with screws and pulling down on it with some weight can shift the panel down some causing your window to hit it !

Go out to you Stang and push up on the panel alittle bit and try closeing you door and see what happens , maybe it as simple as that !
