hokay, so my windows dont go up, and i dont want to spend 200 dollars on window motors if i dont have to. i read the install http://forums.stangnet.com/showthread.php?t=334773 and called up the dealership to see if they have the bushings, and they told me the only bushings availables are for 93 and below, because ford went to whole motor assemblies in 94. then i called a parts store, and they have a rebuild kit, but its only for the 93 and below as well.

sooooooooooo..... is it the same size bushing?

Do yourself a favor, take the motors out, take off the covers, take out the pieces of those crappy plastic bushings, drop in 3 nuts in each one, and be done with it forever.

Once you get the motor cover off, you'll see about how big they need to be. I did this like 2 years ago, so I can't remember what size they were. But you just drop them in place (so they make the shape of a triangle) in place of the plastic bushings, and you're done.

The sticky has the Cardone part number. I got mine at Autozone, though they had to order it. 20 bucks.

Word of caution on replacing the plastic bushings with metal nuts - the plastic is designed to crush if something gets stuck in the window while it's going up (kid's arm for instance). If you ever have kids in your car just know that a metal nut won't crush so be careful!

I replaced my bushings with the plastic ones from Autozone... the ones that were in there before lasted 10 years.

i went into advanced auto today to grab some nuts, but decided to stop by the help section, and sure enough they had the bushings. i guess the guy that answered the phone just didnt know what i was talkin about.

but if these give out any time soon, ill grab the nuts and be done with it.

thanks guys
