Often the gear that is between the motor
and the raising mechanism is the culprit.
It's a fiber gear assy that will prevent
somebody getting hurt bad if they get their arm caught. On mine, the motors were fine but both of those fiber gears eventually stripped out. I got replacements at AZ quite reasonable.
It's very possible the Tempo actuator motor will be the same, but you'd likely have to change the rod that comes out of the top and hooks to the lock mechanism. The Mustang motors are
a small round cylinder, maybe 1" dia or so and 3" long, with a short peg on either side about at the middle. The rod goes down into the top of the motor.
