Window motor and lock acuator.

My mustangs passenger door side's window motor is getting really weak and the acuator is froze up. Ive got a tempo that i got the motor and acuator out of the passenger door. I was just wondering if they where the same, Anybody know the part number on the window motor and the acuator?

Often the gear that is between the motor
and the raising mechanism is the culprit.
It's a fiber gear assy that will prevent
somebody getting hurt bad if they get their arm caught. On mine, the motors were fine but both of those fiber gears eventually stripped out. I got replacements at AZ quite reasonable.

It's very possible the Tempo actuator motor will be the same, but you'd likely have to change the rod that comes out of the top and hooks to the lock mechanism. The Mustang motors are
a small round cylinder, maybe 1" dia or so and 3" long, with a short peg on either side about at the middle. The rod goes down into the top of the motor.

Jrichker has an article on his stangnet website for doing a 4 dollar lock actuator retrofit. It works very well and I recommend it.

Good luck.

for some weird reason, i put a new actuator on my driver side fdoor and when i slam the door shut, the lock pops up. the actuator is riveted on put the rivet have play in it, could this be the source of my problems?
