I will try my best to explain my issue with as much detail as possible so that we can get to a solution fast.

My passenger side window does the following upon being rolled up. It goes up to about 3/4 way and then starts to slow down and dies. If i grab the window with my hand and pull it towards the rear of the car, it will rock back and then i can completely close it with the motor.

It is very odd, i dont know what is jamming it. I took apart the interior door panel and examined this 100 times. I greased everything in there with a grease gun. The jam is very akward, only when it gets to about 3/4 way there is something near the front (wear the mirror is) rubber seal that is jamming it causing it to rock forward, hence if i rock it backward it will unjam and go straight up.

This is annoying as hell, has it happened to anyone before?

PS. Sometimes it gets stuck in the down position and i have to take the panel off and loosen the 3 window motor screws and it will unjam down there. This is unrelated to the glass jamming part, but this happens too sometimes. Its been giving me hell lately.

if your window is rocking back and forth i would say you have a problem with the spot where the window mounts to the frame mechinism that allows it to go up and down. there are 2 large whit plastic pieces that go through holes in the window. if the rivets are loose or broken off this would allow your window to rock and bind up. check those.

i checked and you are right, the rivets that support the window are so loose. Everything is crickety down there. Maybe the motors are going bad too, dammit where can i get a new set. They are expensive too :(

my buddy works on glass, including auto. mine did the same thing, getting stuck 3/4 way up. take the panel off, grease the tracking up. then with a scrapper shaped like a hook, run it along the inside window felt. it will help clear out any gunk jammed inside. Buy a bottle of 3M White Silicone spray, spray it along the inside of the window jam. Spray all up inside it everywhere. Then let the window slide up and down a few times. You will have to push it up perhap the first few tries, but eventually it should close by itself compeltely. Also spray the cable track too.

Last two times I have had this, I have greased the tracks, guides, etc, and then just changed the motor. It fixed it both times. Windstar and F150. The Windstar would get stuck up, and the F150 would just barely go up.

What is this spray? a lubricant of some type?

I think i might just need to change the motors.

PS. I loaded up the window with grease everywhere, gears, tracks etc... It helped a little but it still gets stuck.

I use white lithium grease, which sounds similar to the 3M product (though I have no experience with that 3M product).

Good luck.
