this summer my drivers window in my 93 lx coupe shattered from the heat.:damnit: i was wondering if anyone could tell me what year mustangs i could get one from? im planning on getting one from the junkyard, so if yall could help me out id really appreciate it.
I know the 97-93 parts are a direct fit. but I don't think that the door panels changed very much from 79-93, leading me to wonder if the glass is the same.... IDK
There's really no need to get a used window unless you're attempting to save a few bucks. Check with windshield installers on price before trying to find a junkyard piece. I had mine done a few years ago (I've got an 86) and it only cost me $60 more for a new one vs. buying a slavage yard piece and having the pros install it.
I just searched the salvage yards to find one for my 92. I bought my car from the Original Owner and the car was broke into when he had it and they came in the passenger window. It was replaced with a generic glass shop window, I just dont like the way it fits, and I dont like the fact that my windows have different writing on them as I am very picky. Nice Winter project for me.
