I have an 02 GT and the passenger window squeeks really really loud when going down....but not when going up. I have tried cleaning the window and cleaning any dirt out of the rubber seals around the window. I even tried putting some silicon based cleaner on it,, in hopes of making it slick. Well no luck.

Any suggestions???

Thanks

Your passanger window may possibly be off trac and be rubbing
on something inside the door.I would have this looked at!
Welcome to Stangnet!

You could take the panel off and look at it, see if there are any obvious problems

i think this is just a common problem. I have a 02 Gt and so does my girlfriend. both of our windows squeek really bad. if i roll them up and down a lot then it will not do it as bad. i think it is just a common problem. i have tried everything and i can't get nothing to make it stop. it has did that every since it was brand new. i don't think it is nothing to worry about other than it being annoying.

Got the same issue.....seems that it goes away when the window is clean but doesn't stay gone for long....if you figure anything out, let us know.
Done any mods to the 02 yet?

Oh, welcome to Stangnet....have fun!

No mods yet to the 02. I plan to buy some new tires soon then I would like to get the shaker hood scoop.

I am going to take the car to the dealer ( warranty ) and have them look at the window. I will let everyone know what I find out.

I do like the tack it up to 3000 idea....it works well. haha

thanks everyone

Don't freak out and do something stupid like pulling the door panel...

Window squeak is a very common problem. Get a can of pure silicone spray, roll the window up and pull the window seal back a little and spray at the corners.

FYI I learned this from my local Ford service tech. I was in the dealership looking at cobras and grabbed a tech that was walking by. I asked him about window squeak, he immediatly went and got a can of silicone. A little spray here and there problem solved... It comes back every 6-9 months, then a little more silicone does the trick.

You can also just wax the windows when you do the car. Strange, but it works.
