What percentage of tint do you guys have on your cars? I'm looking for something that is dark enough to be cool, not so dark as to be pimp drug dealer getting pulled by the feds all the time. I was thinking maybe 15%, what do you think?

My car is 20% and i think it looks good. At night its hard to see out the rear window in dark parking lot, and even in well lit areas you will have to use some guessing...
I'm saying go with 20% you will be happy.

(i cant post my pics, cause the limit of the file size on this board is very VERY annoying... and i dont have any program to make the file any smaller right now)

I would go with 20% all around, if you go any darker it gets hard to see at night. 20 is illegal here in MA, most states set the limit at 35%. So you just need to know a guy to get a sticker each year. Definitly dont get 35%, its not worth the money. Its barely tinted at 35%. Ill try to post a few pics when I get home from work.

I have 20% (illegal) on the sides and 5% on the rear, and I have no problems seeing at night...plus, my car is black I think it looks TRICK! I wanted 5% all around, but I didn't want to give the cops a reason to fu*k with me everytime I get pulled over (and that happens frequently). As it stands, I've talked my way out of EVERY speeding ticket that I could have received (save one, which I got deferred by the judge) and they have never mentioned my windows once. Granted, some of the times were in my Expy which has 35%...but still.

Texas cops are WAY cooler than California cops (especially those dickhead CHP's) and they seem to respect what I do for a living. I've been let off with WARNINGS for 90+...no BS. However, I'm a bit older...and WHITE!! If you're young and black you're gonna get fu*ked with in Texas...so if thats the case, DONT tint your windows!! As far as inspection stickers...I take my car to Jiffy Lube for that. They dont even check the windows!! My wifes PT Cruiser had 5% all around and passed every year!!

Don't suppose anyones got any pictures or links to comparison websites do they?

I would like my windows so you can't really see in them, but without drivability at night being too bad. Sounds like maybe 20% may be the way to go

When I got mine done the darkest they had that was legal was L3, I like it and it looks good on a black car.

Yeah, that does look good! My 'stang is grey, but that 20% looks about right for what Im after

20% here, I kinda wish I got 10% but it's already hard to see out the windows sometimes.

you tint right over it. it takes some work with the heat gun and the wedge.
20% all around is the way to go!!

i got limo tint which is 5% all the way around with a 6" tint strip on my windshield..its kinda hard to see at night but i got use to it..i think it looks good
