My windshield has a nasty haze to it from schatches making it really difficult to see out of at night. Anybody have any experience polishing theirs?? I was thinking of trying some simple polishing compound and a rag, I dont have a power buffer. Anybody know if this is a service that an auto glass shop can do? I've seen some kits, eastwood and what not, but they state that they actually remove some of the glass. I dont really like that thought.

You wont want to do it without a buffer. Dont worry about removing glass; you have to remove material from anything in order to polish it. Its also such a small amount it wont matter. Call some glass shops to see if they do it. Compare prices between having it done, doing it yourself and getting a new windshield.

Eastwood has two kits: one actually removes glass, the other one is probably what you want.

The Eastwood stuff works great but go slow, stay even and don't over do it or you'll end up with a prescription windshied.
