Windshield Wiper problem

I was driving today and suddenly my windshield wipers started going real slow and gerky and now they arent moving at all. Would this most likely be caused by the switch or the motor?

I've never had it happen in my stang but in my truck the wipper arm linkage under the wipper cowling was all messed up and rusted and they would squeek and shutter. Maby yours poped apart. Check if your wipper motor is puting out any power.

Motor. That happened to me on the interstate in a downpour.

Got a new motor from Advance Auto Parts - took 30 min to install and as good as new! (although the motor is a bit louder than the original was - but works a hell of a lot better, so no complaints)
