Hi, im am bulding a 408 windsor based stroker motor that I am going to put into my 89' LX and I have ran into a problem: I cannot get my windage tray to work with my Probe bottom end stud girdle. I am running a Probe bottom end stud girdle approx 3/8" thick and I cannot get my louvered moroso windage tray to fit. My oil pickup also does not have enough clearance because it is nearly touching the bottom of my moroso rear sump oil pan and I dont think a gasket is going to give me the needed clearance. The tube diameter on the pickup is about 3/4" thick and I dont want to bend it because the screen wont be level so it wont function right...right? I am thinking about cutting about 2" off the pickup tube right before the screen and welding it back on so it will have enough clearance for the pan. I still need some advice on a windage tray though. Can somebody please tell me what windage tray to run that will work with my Probe bottom end girdle or need very little modification other than this moroso tray? Has anyone ever run into this problem before? Thanks in advance for your help. If anyone needs a parts list I can provide that too. Thanks!

I think I used a Canton tray, which bolted to the girdle.
I still had to clearance the tray for the nuts/studs though...

I only had to cut about an inch out of the length of the pickup tube...

I'm using a Canton 7qt T-sump pan.

Haven't welded the tub back together yet. Instead of cutting by the screen, I cut by the pump flange. I found it easier to start out with the screen where I wanted it, and bend the rest of the tube to fit...
