Wingless

For you guys that went wingless, what have you used to cover up the 4 bolt holes and the 2 alignment tab holes? I remember some threads a while back that some people bought some push pins from Lowes or Home Depot, but i searched the forums and couldnt find them. If anyone could give me some information on what to look for at those hardware stores or any other idea about covering the holes would help out a lot.

I wasnt even thinking about doing this today but i was taking out my tail lights and third brake light today to spray some night shades on them, so i just took the spoiler off to see how it looked. I took it off and really like how the wingless looks, now i just need to fill in those holes.

Go to home depot and look in the screw section and find the plastic plugs and paint them your car color

The screws, IMO, is the uglier way to go.

1. Get some stick on vinyl circles from a vinyl sign making store.
2. Have them cut them out to a size a little larger than the holes left when the wing is removed.
3. FYI, the holes are 2 different sizes.
4. Get touch up paint in your color.
5. Paint the circles while they're still affixed to the paper backing from the store.
6. Let the paint dry.
7. Peel off carefully so the paint doesn't crack and stick on.

Mine have been on for 4 or so years and still look brand new. You have to go almost up to the truck to tell there were holes there at all. You can even wax them too

They have different size/color plugs. They just pop in the hole. I'm not talking about the push pins that hold damn near all of our cars together (with the fins on them or whatever) ... I'm talking about small plugs. I'll take a pic of mine after my primer finishes drying if you want ....... (painting my trunk lid)...

My situation: A long time ago my car rolled into a tree. I got a different color trunk lid from the junkyard and am in the process of painting it. It did not have the holes for a spoiler. I measured from my old trunk lid to figure out where the holes should be drilled and then I drilled em'. So, I didn't want to have holes sitting in the rain and what not ... until I got around to painting it (rust and what not) so I measured the diameter of the holes with a vernier caliper and bought that size plugs. I have it written down somewhere ...

I have to go outside anyway, so I'll take a couple pics and try to find the size of the plugs that I bought (so you will have a better reference) ..

Update:

FWIW, the size of the plugs I used was 3/16in. If you don't have calipers to measure, just take different sized drill bits and see which size matches the hole. Then buy that size plug. They are in the bolts area in lowes, in a drawer for misc. pieces.

No problem. It actually worked good for both of us because I needed to go finish putting the trunk back on and clean my gun ... so, taking some pics got me motivated to go back out there.

I'm wingless! Mine has the pushpins in the stock holes. Sorry, I don't have any before pics because I bought mine this way!

I have the Eibach sportlines.It dropped pretty good with mine,more then the advertised i'm guessing as some with the same springs don't sit as low!
