LOST
Im in need of some new Front glass. My current winsheild is pitted and has a small chip.

Just curious does the 99-04 front glass fit a 94? I like the DOT MATRIX on my 03 not that its that big of a deal but, if I can get it since im replacing the winshield anyways why not.

The windshields with the pony on them (new edge cars) are hella more expensive like hundreds of dollars more expensive than the regular ones for the 94/95...I should know as my hood has taught me a lesson...actually two lessons in what windshields really cost!

YEA YEA BUT, DO THEY FIT ?

I just had my windsheild replaced last week and I used a company called Binswanger Glass. They came to my work and did the install like 1 or 2 days after I placed the order. I just ordered the usual replacement windsheild, however, the installer told me that I could get an 05 windsheild with the horse, because the glass is exactly the same size. Maybe he meant an earlier model with the horse (if there is one), but he specifically did say that I could get one with the horse for extra $$$ (just have to place the order that way).

My windsheild had lots of marks from rocks and other road debris, but no spider stuff. I couldn't believe how much nicer it was when the new glass was put in.

The glass with the top blue or grey tint costs me about 45 to 50 dollars, the glass with the running horse is about 80 dollars, 94 - 98 glass is different than the 99 up years, so no it will not fit. My company charges $155 to get and install the w/s in house. It's $165 for mobile service. I never used to charge for mobile but the gas was killing profit... Anything else you need to know pm me. ohh and the dot matrix one is not for our years, I believe ppg now makes one for these years, but have had no call for one.

FYI-I have a new-edge 'pony' winshield in my 95 stang. They WILL fit but it's VERY close. The main difference is where the lower cowl edge of the glass meet the cover. It BARELY covers but it will cover. I had more than one company tell me that it wouldn't fit but finally got someone to try it. My insurance covered the replacement and I had to pitch on $100 to get the 'pony' glass.

The new edge glass has a different curve to it and the bottom corners are longer!!!! There should be no way that fits a 94 - 95... I have never tried due to the fact it's not the replacement for our cars but it is different.. Also PPg does make a pony glass for our cars. More expensive but its there.
Hoofnit, have you had it in the rain yet??? I'm curious to know if you have leaks with the longer bottom?

I have washed the car after the glass install and haven't had any issues. I don't know about the rain-I live in the desert. In fact, shortly after washing it I was swapping out my CPU and the kick panel area was dry as a bone. I can't remember about the sides but I do know that I was worried about the glass being LONG enough. The cowl cover overlaps the glass by about 1/8". I'm not sure about the curvature but by looking at my car you would never notice an issue with the fit.
