Okay, you can prolly add a 3" cowl hood to the "winter mods" on my car... KillrB showed me a Maier hood that is awsome.... He is planning a trip to So. Cal. in a couple of weeks so I might even be able to save on some $hipping charges that way!!!!

Any of you know for certain if a 9.5" deck with a Spyder will fit under a 3" cowl... I think it will, but am not sure...

How high is a spyder? I can measure if you want. You can get engine mounts that lower your engine, too.

Get a VT aluminum blocked 5.3L 2V or (preferably) 4V, port the bejesus out of the heads with a killer valve job and some blower cams, turn the boost up a bit and have at it! That would be a killer street car.

Edit: Better yet, remove the Saleen blower and throw on a 2.2L KB twin screw, THEN up the boost! It's efficient to a much higher rotational speed/boost level than the Saleens are. With the KB you could have 500-600+ rwhp, even with a 2V!

Are you going to be around this December? I'm going to put my Saleen all back together and take it up to get dyno'd if you want to come watch!

This winter = put in 5.0L 4V engine, transmission, twin turbos, new fuel system, and miscellaneous odds and ends. Maybe a streetable cage, depending on if I take it to college after December or at spring break.

I have a 3 cowl hood and a 351 with an RPM intake. After reviewing a Spyder intake, I'd bet you'll have no trouble with clearance. You may want to wait on the cowl. It might clear your stock hood.

Well, right now I only have catback and pullies on, but in my trunk, which I HOPE to put on this winter, I have MAC long tube headers, 3.55 gears, ordered my MAC H pipe, and hopefully, I cna finish my MAF swap. All depends on how bad my credit card looks after Christmas.
