Winter rides/Daily drivers

I had a 92 Toyota pickup when I got my 01 and tried to keep them both but needed the money so I sold the pickup. Now I want to get another one since they are cheap, come in handy and will last forever. I bought it for $7000 with 300 miles on it (cost $13,000 new), put 100k miles on it and sold it for $6000. I wish I still had it. It even matches my car!

i am still driving the 1995 Ranger i bought when i was 15. 8 years and 220,000 miles later she is still the daily driver with absolutely NO engine work except a cam sensor and one transmission. she gets me 50 miles to work and back at 85 mph every day! she even pulls double duty on sundays pulling two 900 lb ATV's. i have to say it has been one HELL of a truck. i have been thinking about swapping a 302 into it if the engine will EVER give out on me! i also have a 1995 Olds 88 that is just sitting in the yard. i did drive it a while but i like my truck to much!

Cherokee with a little lift, gets horrible MPG so I normally drive the Mustang.

But if im hauling someone or something, going offroad, or I need a Stang break I drive it.

My daily driver/winter beater is my 04 Subaru WRX Sedan.
It gets alot better MPG than my mustang and can easily handle
snow,rain,bad weather conditions etc.
With some all season tires a AWD Subaru would be perfect for
your daily driver Tontot.I just keep up on my 30K mile maintenance
services, oil changes, air filter changes etc. and it has ran perfect
since the day I bought it. :nice:
Also I never had any mechanical problem with my Subaru either.
On the other hand I honestly have had alot of problems/issues
with my mustang but,I still love the car and I will be keeping it. :nice:
Good luck with your car shopping.

Buying a 4X4 truck makes it so much easier in the winter time in the midwest. Push a button and off you go. If you can't get to work in a 4X4, nobody is going to work that day anyway. I sold my 4X4 when I moved out here (no snow), but would'nt own anything else as a winter driver after owning a couple of them.
