Winter Rims On A 2012 Gt

I am looking to get a set of winter rims and tires for my new 2012 GT. It has the standard brakes and stock 19" rims.

I found a set of stock Bullitt 17" x 8 rims on craigslist that are like new for $300, but I'm not sure if they will fit on my car. I would like to go with the 17's because the winter tires are about $100 cheaper per tire versus 18".

Also, what tire size would be the best for these rims and snow?
