i brushed/clearcoated the aluminum on mine, and the bracket/motor part went back to gloss black. im at skool now, so no pics, but if i remember i will post em later..
The other guy was right, it's the IAC valve and I polished it.
You can powdercoat them. The two parts are just held together with two little Phillips-head screws. Just cover the openings and coat it. I've seen lots of people who have done that or painted them.

yeah i removed the end with the two screws and seperated the 2 parts however, i can't seem to get the plunger assm. out. does the end cap come off?i don't wanna force it off.

The cap comes off but there's a plastic piece underneath it. I never removed one or saw it done so I don't think you can do much else. FWIW everyone I've seen who's painted/coated theirs left it in![]()

Cleaned the wiper motor and painted it...then installed a aftermarket chrome cover availble from 50resto....as you can see the motor is 'kept' incase it's needed but does not draw attention to itself while still fitting in with the 'theme' of the bay.
