OK, so on our Eleanor proj we ditched the foot pump and discovered , as has been posted previously, the wipers would not park. Two of the wires need to be shorted together to make the motor park without the foot pump. Sorry, can't remember which two, but to save me trying to nuke it out mentally, I checked the foot switch with a meter and found the twopins that were shorted together with th foot pump in a static condition. I made a little jumper and shorted the two corresponding connectors together in the foot pump harness plug. Motor parked perfectly.
If that still does not work, make sure that the motor is really grounded to the chassis. THen lets see from there.
