Well yesterday my wiper motor took a sh it on me and i wanted to know what is involved when replacing it, what years work, and is it better to buy a new or used one? Any help will be greatley ap[preciated.

Take the cowl panel off to remove the motor from the wiper arms.
You may be able to rebuild the motor. New Or used, they last a long time so you ought to be able to find both.

Remove the can, clean the commutator and replace the brushes. Depending on the construction, getting the brushes back on the commutator can be an absolute bear. Other than that it is easy.
The coils need to have conductivity.

Also make sure the speed control box dealie did not go south instead. The wiper motor gets its juice from that. But the motor gets juice after the wipers are off so the arms return to their resting position at the cowl.

What is the speed control box. You can hear the wiper motor get power it just doesent move anything.
