Well yesterday my wiper motor took a sh it on me and i wanted to know what is involved when replacing it, what years work, and is it better to buy a new or used one? Any help will be greatley ap[preciated. :D

Remove the can, clean the commutator and replace the brushes. Depending on the construction, getting the brushes back on the commutator can be an absolute bear. Other than that it is easy.

The coils need to have conductivity.

Also make sure the speed control box dealie did not go south instead. The wiper motor gets its juice from that. But the motor gets juice after the wipers are off so the arms return to their resting position at the cowl.

Good luck.
