wiring 66 gauge panel in a 65 Help

I put a 66 guage cluster in my 65. I have a 3 guage pac(oil pressure,volts,temp)under the dash which is ok. All I care about is getting the fuel guage working. Of course the 140 speedo works. I had the fuel guage working when I first hooked it up, but a few days later is stopped working. Help

ground the sender wire off the tank and see if the gauge moves past full, if it does your problem is the sender, if it doesnt its in the cluster

Try what Isky recommends. If your gauge doesn't deflect, I would suspect the VR on the back of the gauge panel (especially since the gauge worked for a few days.)
