Wiring Gremlins, FYI

I had some weird off and on problems with the turnsignals and wipers. :notnice:

After searching High and Low and inbetween, Tracing thru the looms and halfway tearing the thing apart.
I think i found the problems, :nice:
The fuse panel.

Seems that even with good fuses and tight connection,[even behind the panel]
that the inside where the fuse is held had glazed over with a slight non- conductive film. :bang: :bang: :bang:
Even with checking for power flow with a meter and it showing voltage, they sometimes would not work the accessorys.

By using some 320 grit sandpaper and cleaning all of the inner part of the fuse holders,   everything works GREAT.

Just a little insight when you start to have the gremlins attack. :)

Glad to hear you beat the gremlins. I had a similar problem with the power door locks on my van sliding door. They started to work intermittently Then they just died. Thought it might be the doorlock actuator. But first I sanded the metal contact points, because they looked glazed over, where the door meets the frame and "voila" everything worked fine. Saved me alot of work and headache. Yes, I agree keep those contact points clean.
