I have an 88 lx california car my question is I bought a new wiring harness from summit when I installed it the car is not getting power to the relays to start the fuel pump. the harness is alittle different from the original the fuel pump relay is in a different location. I am one plug short where the harness connects to the dash harness. The harness is made to fit a newer model like 90 and above. Can anyone help me make this harness work.

welcome to the boards here.

for the wiring problem, i dont get what you need help on. i am not sure if you want to know how to wire the FP relay, or want schematics. this is a great site with awesome diagrams from TMoss, et al. there are some pics of the engine management schematics, etc.

You say you bought the harness from summit. I'm assuming it's a painless performance product?

No its a ford motorsport harness. My orignial harness has 2 plugs by the master cylinder the new harness has 1 plug like the 90 and above harnesses and mines a 88. My harness has shortages in it and I was trying to replace it.

i got basically the same problem i have a harness for my 90 but its out of a 89 so i have no power to my relays

Does your harness have the two plugs at the firewall by the master cylinder?
