Hello,

I have 2 10" Alpine Type S DVC 4 ohm stable subs rated at 300 rms each (900 peak) and a Hifonics Brutus bx 500d which can run at 125X1 @ 4ohm, 250X2@2ohm, or 500X1@1ohm. I would like to wire the subs so I can get 250 rms to each sub from the amp, so I figure I will have to drop the amp to 1ohm to get what I need. Can anyone help with how I would wire this? Is the pic in the url for option 1 the correct way?

http://www.the12volt.com/caraudio/woofer_configurations.asp?Q=2&I=42

Thanks

i beleive you can wire both of them up like this and run each to a channel and get what youre looking for.

or the 1ohm load, i'm not sure. maybe someone else can chime in.

Anyone?
Here are the links to my products. My goal is to wire up the subs so I only have a 1 ohm load on this particular amp so I am not underdriving my subs. If I get it to 1 ohm then I will be getting close to the recommended rms to each sub (250 rms per sub, recommended 300 rms). If I can only get the load to 2 ohms then I am only getting 125 to each sub.

So will this present me with a 1 ohm mono load to my 1 ohm stable amp?

This is all I need to know.

Thanks
