I feel that way about paint, shiney don't make it go faster, but I do like a tidy interior, I 'm still debating the cup holder thing.
I did not get a chance to install it in the car but i did bench test it and the phone charges perfectly.
Doing a bit of Test fitting here, I used 3M double sided tape for all the pieces so once they touch thats where they are going to stay. I cleaned all surfaces with alcohol before applying the tape.
I had an old cigarette lighter plug loose in the bottom of a box so it got used for the project, The charger does pull wattage even when not in use so i added a relay to the circuit so it will only be on with the key.
Dont mind the unused spade connector in the middle its just there so nothing can bump into the live pin on accident. The Cig circuit feeds the relay on pin30 pin 87 out to the power supply, both pin 86 and the negative are grounded together. Only thing left to do is plug it in and run a ign circuit to trigger the relay from the radio area. The cig light plug was left intact, I may use it at a later date for some kind of ambient lighting.
The USB was a bit long so i just tie-wrapped it in a bundle.

That is sweet. Nice job.

Well so as you all know i Had tried the lmr spray can, they seemed ok wasn’t spot on but always felt like it was a little dull, not as poppy or glossy as the original plastics. So i ended up ordering a can of SEM Napa red and resprayed the console and delete as well as cleaning & spraying the scuff plates. I think the SEM product is was better and gives that shinier appearance.
Thought I’d share. I don’t have power mirrors so I put a usb plug in that space and used kydex from the holsters I make to make a plate for the plug. Color turned out really good. I also used adhesion promoter before I sprayed. I also plan to put a wireless charger under the coin tray like @a91what did.

I put about 3 light coats followed by 3 medium wet coats waiting till dry to touch between coats.

Post pics, a lot of skeptics around hereI just put one in my '90 GT convertible with 2 cupholders and 2 USB ports and cig lighter outlet in the coin tray.
I really need to add the wireless charging pad to mine.
but that would imply my car actually gets drive

Expensive yes. I guess I will keep spilling drinks all over my interior. I have a red interior, and that paint sure does work/look good.
Worth it. I love my cupholder console. It was a very welcome addition to the interior in terms of practicality.
I actually don’t want the USB ports on mine though. No offense but I’m not a fan of the appearance of the clearly aftermarket and cheap ports. I’d rather hard wire and hide that stuff
