The only time I ever use a nose mask is when I take a long road trip. I have them for both of our Mustangs, but only use them when we drive from Seattle to Reno, or some other 400+ mile trip. Even then, it takes some serious work with the buffer and compound to get the marks out of the paint.

they do work nicely, I use one on my wifes GT when she's going to see the inlaws..black paint, bugs, heat...oh boy.

Bra's are ugly, yes... But for any trip over 70 miles, I put mine on. This is the reason there are no chips on the hood or front bumper of my cars original paint.
