Hey all,

I have been Reading and hearing a lot about rod bearing
problems with the DOHC motors.
In fact , 2 of my friends had spun rod bearings on their
Cobra's within 2 months of each other.
I've read numerous posts about people with noises coming
from their motor which also turns out to be rod bearings.
Is this an actual issue with these motors or is it that
everyone is beating on their Cobra's.
All those with DOHC 4.6's please jump in !!!
Supposedly the Cylinder head cooling issue has been
resolved , but what's the deal with Rod Bearings.
And is there a sure solution?

What do you guy's think ???????

yeah an engine rebuild, rod bearing failure happens more than people think, and it doesnt happen at the same location of the bearing either

that can usually be said about 03-04 DOHC heads cause they have a notorious valvetrain tick

How has the cylinder head issue been resolved ? certainly not by SVT, I know everyone is waiting for the revised driver's side head to be released, i know of the apten cooling mod or simular...I got rid of my 03 cobra because of excess valve train noise that "SVT knew about but did not have a solution"
