wont start???

I have changed the ignition module.! it worked for about a week now when i go to crank it if the check engine light flashes it wont crank at all it will just turn over and over. but if i crank it with no check engine light it will fire right up! any ideas its a 94 gt

try pulling the codes.

also,why did you install a new ICM?

before the new ICM,would the car not start?
would it crank but not fire?
would the car shut off while driving?
would it start some day's ,and not some other's?

if so,it could be the PIP inside the dizzy.
1.you could replace the PIP,but you would need to press off the drive gear to disassemble the dizzy and replace it.
2.get a reman dizzy from the parts store.but,sometimes the PIP is not replace when the rebuild it.only the parts that are obviously bad.

(but,getting the codes would really help to narrow down problem.)

I'm inclined to go with the stator (PIP) being the cause but my experience would indicate that that does not trigger a code. The OP post about the CEL would seemingly indicate that a fault code my be available.

Since you have a CEL, start by pulling codes. If it's a PIP failure, you should see code 211, and that would definitely cause a no-start condition.

once it cranks it runs fine and it has never just died! it just seems to crank when it wants to. i had the same problem so i got autozone to test the ICM and it failed so i replaced it the car cranked fine about 20 or 30 times now i get a flashing light and do cranking...i am gonna pull the code tomorrow i just have never done it before any tips?
