Wont stay in 5th Gear

OK ive got a 95GT Vert. and i recently installed the Hurst Billet Plus shifter..My car doesent want to stay in 5th Gear on the freeway and i dont know why. I have taken it back apart and adjusted the stop screws to what i thought was enough cleaance and it still does the same thing. Maybe i didnt adjust it enough?? Any suggestions? Thanks Guys

did you tighten them(stop bolts) enough so they won't move, get a wrench and hold the nut and get another and tighten the bolt

must be the stop screws

Yeah just back off the stop screw a little more.

Dude, I had the exact same thing happen to me with my Tri-ax!

I'm not so sure it is the stops, as i backed them off even further and it still slips out in 5th.

I wonder if these after market shifters have too much spring load for our worn out T5s?

Let me know if you find a solution...
