so, a buddy of mine decided he wants to up the psi on his twin turbo mustang he is building. He had some pistons that he decided he wasnt going to be able to use, along with some rods...he said "want them? $350" I said...sure man, i will take them....


Ross Forged 9.5:1 compression 347 pistons

Eagle H beam connecting rods

fresh and they have been assembled!



My question....


what brand crank should I use? I dont want to go too expensive!

Just a word or warning here. be very VERY VERY carefull when using google to find a seller of scat crankshafts.

I don't know enough to say one way or the other but aren't forged ones better? Of course if it say it can take 600 who am I to say.

I am not going to be running a power adder and I doubt I will make anywhere near 500hp. Suppose to be 25% stronger than other cast cranks...guess there is only one way to find out!!
