working on 5.0 in this body

Well this may not be considered tech, so if mods decide to move it my feelings wont be hurt. My little bro has a 85 5.0 and I have a 2000 with 4.6 motor. My bro wants to get a 94-95 cuz he likes the body style and we figure its easier to fix up the 5.0. I have messed with his motor now tho it is carbed and has 800 vacuum lines. My 4.6 seems to be a pain to do anything such as spark plugs, headers, clutch, etc. How hard is it to work on the 5.0 in this body style? I know the 4.6 is alot wider so takes up more room. We plan to do headers, intake, cam, heads to the car. A good 300 rwhp, nothing too radical since it will be his dd. I have a 3.73 gear set in the garage. Plus add some springs, shocks, control arms, subframes, and maybe strut towe brace. Add some better brakes, the cruise. Mainly to just hang with my bolt on 2000 with 4.10's and my buddies stock 2006.

Thanx

I haven't worked on mod motors a whole lot but I personally think the 5.0 in the SN95 body is easier to work on. However, as you know, your brother's fox III has a lot more room under the hood than your Fox IV does.

I bet your bro would really enjoy the 94-95's, especially since he's familiar with the pushrod motor. You will want to factor in some budget for tuning the car probably.

Good luck.
