Well the fiance was driving the 95 home the other afternoon and as we were playing on a back road she said it started to sound like metal to metal rattling inside the engine compartment. Well i noticed a little bit of black smoke come out from under her car. most likely from the exhaust we don't run pipes on the Vert. well i am kinda scared to think of what it would be. I am hoping oil is not getting past the piston rings. Or she might have thrown a bearing somewhere. I have it set at 12deg time and we run 93 in it. Anyone have any ideas. I have not taken the car out yet as i am not wanting to even think of this.

I am sorry to hear that man.
It could very we'll be detonation since you advanced
your timing to 12 degrees. You could try this put the
timing back to stock 10 degrees and drive the your car
easy and hard to see if it is detonation.Running 93 octane and advancing your timing to 12 degrees I don't
see why you would be having problems but, every engine
reacts different. Also make sure you are only useing good
name brand gasoline and not the cheap off-brand crap.
Good luck.
